Each Friday you can grab lunch at our Fidelity Food Truck Rodeos at 800 Park Offices Drive. From 11:30am – 1:30pm there will be tastiness in the middle of RTP. The trucks will change weekly so show up hungry and bring your friends!

Free Fitness Classes
Mondays & Wednesdays, The Frontier

There are now free fitness classes for all twice a week at The Frontier! On Monday’s you can hit up a Cardio Class at 4:45pm and Wednesday’s there’s BYOM Yoga at 11:30am. See you then!

Last Day to Donate – May 1st 

Today’s your last day to help prevent summer reading loss for students in Durham County! RTP’s Books on Break donation program accepts both books and donations in partnership with Book Harvest, a local charity. Looking for Interns? Check out the DurhamYouthwork Program!
The Durham YouthWork Internship Program (DYIP) is working to match young people to internships in STEM related businesses. By helping youth explore STEM fields through internships, they hope to raise their interest in pursuing a STEM career. DYIP is looking to match businesses to youth between the ages of 14 and 21. Businesses can also sponsor an intern to be placed at another organization if they are not able to host the intern at their organization. Apply to be an AmeriCorps VISTA at US2020 RTP 
US2020 RTP is a STEM mentoring program sponsored by the Research Triangle Foundation. The program connects STEM professionals who want to mentor with students who need mentors. AmeriCorps is hiring two VISTA volunteers to support the program next year, one to lead Events and External Communications and one to lead Knowledge Management. Applications will be accepted by AmeriCorps throughout the month of May.

If you are a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) professional and would like to mentor youth, you can sign up with US2020 RTP. We inspire underserved populations to pursue STEM careers. Take our 45-minute online training and select an opportunity on our mentor matching platform. Opportunities serve students K-16 and take place at different times and locations around The Triangle.

Wake County Transit – On The Move!
May 11-20, Locations Across Wake County

After feedback was received from the Transit Choices Report, technical planners have come up with four possible scenarios and will be presenting them to the public at meetings. The public is encouraged to attend, as the meetings will be held at various locations throughout Wake County.

Duke MA in Bioethics & Science Policy Information Sessions

Is it ever ethical to clone a human being? How should genetic information be used in law enforcement? Should we use technologies that enhance or alter our brains? The Duke MA in Bioethics & Science Policy invites students to address these questions and many more. The Duke MA is the only program in the US that combines bioethics and science policy to prepare you to address the societal impact of advances in the biosciences, medicine, and technology.
